WHAT IS INTEGRATIVE PSYCHIATRY?

In a word "Integrative Psychiatry" is COMBINING.

We combine the best possible treatment theories and practices in order to help you regain balance in your life. With Integrative Psychiatry we do not always recommend psychotropic drugs to help you with your issues; indeed sometimes they do more damage than good in the long run. We try a more "holistic" approach to helping each person. Dr. Bacon believes that in life we ALL have pressing issues that cause us turmoil, an "unsettling of affairs" that creates stress and imbalance. In almost every case, these trials are temporary. Dr. Bacon believes that with each person their problems are unique for THEM and will address the issues as such, as a "unique" situation for that person to be handled appropriately for THEM. No two people are alike, so each issue has to be dealt with in a manner that fits the person in need.

Dr. Bacon is no stranger to loss. At the early age of 17 he joined the military where he experienced extreme combat in the Persian Gulf and watched many people die. While serving his country his father died and he never got the chance to say goodbye. He was very close to his father, who was also a war hero from 3 wars.  From there he got married and had a child and within 1 year of the child's birth his wife died from breast cancer. Within a few weeks after her death his wife's parents used the Court system to take his daughter from him as he was working with law enforcement (Recovery Agent) and they feared for her safety: He never saw his child again. Shortly after that a member of his own family robbed him of thousands of dollars and tried to destroy him and his company. He later began medical school and after graduating relocated to East Africa. There he was AGAIN robbed of over $18,000 trusting someone to help him begin a new life there. The people got charged but he never got his money back. Shortly after that, he lost his company in the USA due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

He later had a child in East Africa and decided to stay to raise him as a good father, albeit life was difficult for him.

How did Dr. Bacon get through all of this? Why did he not ever give up with life? He just believed that not all things are permanent in life, especially "problems". He views each and every problem confronted as a steppingstone of learning; a path to become stronger than before. With this strength one may use it to help others in the future. So each person has a calling in life, a "reason to be"!  He states,

"Each person will face problems in life...indeed MUST face problems in life.

And they have options. They can RUN from them, they can try to GO

AROUND them, they can even try to HIDE from them. The only viable

solution is to face them head on and TO GO THROUGH THEM. Much

like a soldier in combat being shot at, you cannot run! You MUST NOT

run! All you can do is face the enemy and do your best to survive.

And once you HAVE survived, turn around and help others who are pinned

down needing YOUR help."

With Integrative Psychiatry Dr. Bacon will help guide you on a path using every means at his disposal, much like a combat soldier does, to help YOU SURVIVE.

AND YOU WILL SURVIVE...you MUST survive!
